It is understandable to feel nervous and unsure when looking for a therapist, as you may not know what to expect or whether you will be able to connect with them. Therefore, I would like to provide you with some information about myself and my therapeutic approach to put your mind at ease. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and have been practicing for over 27 years. I received my degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College in New York and have worked with diverse populations in various settings. I follow a client-centered approach, which means I focus on your strengths and work collaboratively with you.
My goal as your therapist is for you to feel safe, respected, and valued and for you to discover the “Bounce Back” aka Resilience that you possess. It will give you the ability to adapt and bounce back when things do not go as planned. It’s what helps you thrive despite the curveballs life may be throwing your way.
Recovering from a significant setback, traumatic event, or loss can be a lengthy process. However, by committing to working on it, you can make progress. If you decide to give me the opportunity, I am eager to collaborate with you. Keep in mind that I have faith in you!
